Will Howitt is an NYC-based composer, producer, and writer
In 2022, he co-starred in/directed the debut of his own original docu-musical, Squeeze Her Hand, as produced by the Muhlenberg music department. Other composition/orchestration experience includes work with the NJCU-based nonprofit Natale Foundation as the lead orchestral arranger for three of their summer benefit concerts, which annually raise money for the college’s theater scholarships. Will’s freelance work includes projects for the Muhlenberg music department, student organizations, and the CF Foundation, under which he contributed orchestrations for a new musical, Fall Risk.
In early 2022, Will was offered the Muhlenberg College Mazur Music grant; he spent the summer researching the connections between music and drama through the mediums of Weill, Bernstein, Sondheim, Adams, and other great composers of the 20th century. He is a teaching artist with Fresh Theater Arts, a local NJ theater organization that holds programs for kids through schools and other institutions. He studied voice with Brian Chu, composition and orchestration with Andrew Ardizzoia (D.M.), and music production with two-time Grammy-winner Michael Mangini. He received his music, theater, and business degrees in May of 2023.
